Community Guidelines
PAAQ is a knowledge based platform dedicated to helping people find answers to their questions from experts. To prevent misuse of our platform, it is imperative that all users adhere to our community guidelines.
We apply these Guidelines to all content (this includes text, images, links, attachments, emojis and creative tools) on PAAQ – as well as to our users, without discrimination. Certain types of content are not subject to action when they are newsworthy, factual, relate to a general concern for our community and are relevant to politics, social issues, or other issues.
We want our users to find PAAQ safe and reliable enough to meet their needs. If content violates that spirit, we reserve the right to remove it from the platform.
Sexually explicit content
- Promoting or distributing pornographic content is prohibited on our platform.
- Child sexual exploitation for any reason will be reported to authorities.Posting, saving or sending nude or sexually explicit content is not allowed. Do not ask a minor to send sexually explicit content.
- It is permissible to depict breastfeeding and other aspects of nudity in non- sexual contexts.
Harassment & bullying
- Bullying and harassment of any kind are prohibited. You may not contact someone who blocks you with another account.
- Sharing another person's private information without their knowledge and consent is not allowed.
- When you mention someone in your post and they ask that you remove it, please do. Respect the privacy rights of other users.
Threats, violence & harm
- Intimidation and threats to harm a person, a group of people, or someone's property is not acceptable - don't encourage violence or dangerous behaviour.
- Contents containing explicit or graphic violence, including animal abuse, are not permitted.
- The promotion of self-harm, including suicide and eating disorders, is not permitted
Impersonation, deceptive practices & false information
- It is prohibited to pose as someone (or something) you are not, or attempt to deceive others about your identity. Including impersonating your friends, celebrities, brands, or other entities.
- The spread of false information that causes harm or malice is prohibited. This includes denying the existence of tragic events, posting unverified medical claims, undermining the integrity of civic processes, or manipulating content in an unfair or misleading manner.
- We disallow spam and deceptive practices, as well as imitating PAAQ (Pty) Ltd.
Illegal content
- PAAQ should not be used for any illegal activity, including promotion of criminal activity, facilitation of cybercrime, or transaction of drugs, contraband, weapons, or counterfeit goods or documents.
- Promoting regulated products or industries, such as illegal gambling, tobacco, or alcohol, is prohibited.
Terrorism, hate groups and hate speech
- Hate groups, terrorist organisations, and extremists are prohibited from using our platform. We do not tolerate content that promotes and advocates violent extremism or terrorism.
- Hate speech or content that demonises, defames, or promotes violence or discrimination on the basis of race, colour, caste, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, immigration status, socioeconomic status, age, weight, or pregnancy status is prohibited.
We encourage you to use our reporting feature within the platform to contact our Trust & Safety team. These reports are reviewed to determine if any of our guidelines have been violated.
Upon violation of these Community Guidelines, we may remove the offending content, terminate your account, or limit visibility of your account, and/or notify law enforcement. When activities pose a threat to human life, we work together with global law enforcement. If you violate our Terms of Service, or these guidelines, your account will be terminated and you cannot use PAAQ again.
Users may be removed from PAAQ if we believe in our sole discretion that they pose a clear and present danger to others, both on and off our platform. The list includes members of hate groups and terrorist organisations, as well as individuals who are known for inciting violence or acting in a way that we believe is dangerous.
Please respect these guidelines and honour them accordingly.
